CONCRETE FINISHER


EMPLOYMENT TYPE:     Full-Time (55+ hours weekly)

JOB SUMMARY
The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces on residential and commercial projects. This position ensures surfaces meet project specifications for quality, safety, and durability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and set concrete forms for sidewalks, slabs and curbs.
• Pour and finish concrete using rakes, shovels, screeds, floats, and trowels.
• Apply surface treatments such as curing compounds, sealers, and hardeners.
• Repair, patch, and finish existing concrete surfaces when required.
• Ensure proper alignment, grade, and depth of concrete placements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in concrete finishing preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL or ability to obtain is advantageous).
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes, finishing techniques, and curing methods.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.
• Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and working on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Visual and auditory capability to operate equipment and communicate safely on active job sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Outdoor construction sites including roadways, residential areas, and commercial properties.
• Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and changing weather conditions.
• Overtime, weekends, and on-call work may be required depending on project schedules.
