JOB SUMMARY:

The HDD Locator is responsible for accurately tracking and guiding horizontal directional drilling operations to ensure the safe and precise installation of underground utilities, including gas, sewer, water, electrical, and telecommunications infrastructure. This role plays a critical safety function by preventing utility strikes, maintaining bore accuracy, and ensuring compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and utility standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Locating & Bore Guidance

Operate electronic locating equipment to track drill head.

Communicate real-time bore corrections clearly and continuously to the HDD Driller.

Maintain bore alignment per approved profiles, plans, and specifications.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and utility-owner requirements.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, utility conflicts, and near-miss incidents immediately.

Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site.

Documentation & Communication

Maintain accurate bore logs, locating records, and project documentation when required.

Communicate effectively with drill crews, supervisors, inspectors, and utility representatives.

Equipment Care & Support

Inspect, maintain, and properly store locating equipment.

Troubleshoot locating signal issues and equipment malfunctions.

Assist with general HDD crew duties, including site setup and cleanup.

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

Experience locating and supporting installation of gas, sewer, water, electrical, and telecommunications utilities.

Understanding of HDD operations and damage-prevention practices.

Ability to read and interpret utility locates, bore profiles, and construction plans.

Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred

Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an HDD Locator or underground utility locator.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Experience with various HDD locating systems and transmitters.

First Aid/CPR certification.

CDL Class A or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs.

Ability to walk, stand, kneel, bend, and work in trenches or uneven terrain.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Visual and auditory capability to operate equipment and communicate safely on active job sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Walk job sites and track bore paths for extended periods.

Travel to job sites as required.

The Fiber Blowing Technician is responsible for installing fiber optic cable into underground conduit systems using specialized air-blown fiber equipment. This role supports the installation of telecommunications infrastructure including fiber networks for internet, television, and communications services. The technician ensures fiber is installed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate fiber blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable through conduit systems.

Prepare conduit pathways by verifying they are clean, continuous, and free of obstructions.

Assist with pulling, feeding, and managing fiber optic cable during installation.

Set up and break down fiber blowing equipment, compressors, and associated tools.

Monitor fiber installation to ensure proper tension, speed, and integrity of the cable.

Perform basic troubleshooting if fiber becomes stuck or installation issues occur.

Inspect equipment and tools before and after use to ensure safe operation.

Follow safety procedures when working around construction sites, roadways, and utility installations.

Communicate with supervisors, drill crews, and other field personnel to coordinate installation activities.

Maintain clean and organized job sites.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

Ability to operate or learn fiber blowing machines and related equipment.

OSHA safety training or other construction safety certifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and set concrete forms for sidewalks, slabs and curbs.

• Pour and finish concrete using rakes, shovels, screeds, floats, and trowels.

• Apply surface treatments such as curing compounds, sealers, and hardeners.

• Repair, patch, and finish existing concrete surfaces when required.

• Ensure proper alignment, grade, and depth of concrete placements.

• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in concrete finishing preferred.

• Valid driver’s license (CDL or ability to obtain is advantageous).

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Knowledge of concrete mixes, finishing techniques, and curing methods.

GENERAL LABORER:  HARD & SOFT SURFACE RESTORATION

EMPLOYMENT TYPE :     Full-Time (50+ hours weekly)

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Laborer – Hard & Soft Surface Restoration – is responsible for assisting in the repair and restoration of disturbed surfaces following utility, construction, or excavation work. This includes restoring hard surfaces such as asphalt and concrete, as well as soft surfaces including soil, lawns, landscaping, and other disturbed ground areas. The position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in outdoor environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with restoration of asphalt and concrete surfaces, including preparation, forming, pouring, finishing, patching, and sealing.

Perform soft surface restoration, including grading soil, spreading topsoil, seeding, installing sod, and applying straw or mulch.

Operate hand tools and small equipment such as shovels, rakes, tampers, plate compactors, and cut-off saws.

Assist with removing damaged pavement, concrete, or soil and preparing surfaces for restoration.

Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure debris is properly removed.

Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job sites.

Follow traffic control plans and assist with placing cones, barricades, and warning signs as needed.

Follow all company safety policies and OSHA safety regulations.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members.

Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to perform heavy physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Frequently lift and carry 50–75 pounds.

Ability to bend, kneel, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Manual dexterity to safely operate tools and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
